  Todos Santos Highlights

Aside from the many activities listed on the “About Todos Santos” page, if you are considering making OlaBrisa your first or second home you may enjoy exploring the following while you are here:

The Town Center – Todos Santos is made up of a commercial center surrounded by neighborhoods that stretch from Highway 19 to the beaches west and north of town. Here you will find shopping, art galleries, services, hotels and restaurants, historic buildings, the central plaza, and the church. An easy walking tour will familiarize you with the entertainment and amenities of Todos Santos. An excellent town map can be found in El Calendario.

The Cultural Center – Located in an historic building on Benito Juarez and Obregon (across from the bank) the Cultural Center contains a history of Todos Santos from the early indigenous inhabitants through its mission years and 100 years of sugar plantations to stories of its rebirth and early tourism. It is an excellent way to learn about the culture of Todos Santos.

The Beaches – Not all beaches in Todos Santos are safe for swimming. This includes the beach at OlaBrisa. If you are a fan of ocean swimming (*) or surfing, you will want to visit:

*Playa Las Palmas - South of town at Km. 57, then west for 1.5 miles. One of the most spectacular beaches in southern Baja, and also a good swimming beach! The property surrounding the beach is privately owned, so easy access is limited to the hours of 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and camping is not permitted.

Playa San Pedrito - South of town, west at Km. 59, then 1.5 miles to the beach. Good palm beach for day camping, fishing, surfing and Boogie boards. A large trailer park provides a restaurant and bathrooms. Day use fee is $3.00...and it's worth it!

*Playa Los Cerritos - Located well south of Todos Santos at Km. 64. Then take the dirt road 1.5 miles to the beach. Miles of open beaches, and some of the safest beaches near Todos Santos for swimming. A great place for shell collecting, or just walking in the sand.

La Paz and Cabo San Lucas – Though there are grocery stores here, Todos Santos’ residents rely on these two nearby cities for staples, specialty items and major shopping purchases. This is also where ex-patriots go for movies, cultural affairs, big-city entertainment and medical care. La Paz is the capital city of Baja Sur with stunning colonial architecture, museums, very good hospitals and clinics, department stores, a magnificent bay on the Sea of Cortez, and access to white sand beaches with calm turquoise waters. Cabo San Lucas is a resort town with deep-sea fishing, water sports, golf courses and plenty of nightlife. Both are an hour’s drive from Todos Santos.
