Todos Santos is a traditional Mexican village with a population between 6,000-7,000 people nestled in the western desert of Baja California Sur. Bordered by the Pacific Ocean on the west and the Sierra de La Laguna mountains to the east, this oasis town has a water supply flowing up from an underground river fed from rain that falls the mountains.
Known as an artist’s colony, visitors and residents enjoy the town’s shops and local restaurants, walking along undisturbed open beaches, surfing, fishing, participating in eco-focused trips to the nearby mountains and whale-watching, attending festivals throughout the year, and simply being in Todos Santos’ more relaxed pace of life.
Located one hour north of the busy resort towns of Los Cabos and less than an hour west of the capital city of La Paz, Todos Santos is an easy drive to the larger shopping centers, entertainment and cultural events. An additional hour’s drive will bring you to the East Cape of Baja where you can enjoy excellent deep-sea fishing, world class windsurfing, kayaking among dolphins and whales, and snorkeling the only Pacific coral reef. Todos Santos is a 1 ½ hour drive from the Los Cabos airport and an hour from the airport at La Paz, making this historic town easily accessible. |
